Organization

I am a list maker. And my to do list has been getting a little chaotic and out of control. So instead of crossing things off my list last night, I spent a little time (or an hour or two) making this nifty list organizer. It's the little things...

Napping Difficulties

I have enough difficulties sleeping, and then there are these two furballs to deal with. But I wouldn't trade it for anything!

We have two of the absolute strangest dogs, but we absolutely love them. They are both such great snugglers!

Cleaning!

I've finally found some motivation to get some cleaning done. I'm so excited that you can finally see the table and countertops again! Now, it may be that I've just moved the mess into other rooms, but at least these two rooms look good...

Getting comfy

Murphy is settling in well. He snoozed with Dad and Sebastian this afternoon...and this is how he made himself comfortable. He's a silly boy!

Getting along

Our new pup is settling in nicely...he and Sebastian are getting along pretty well! Luckily we have a nice big bed :)

Dinner!

Trent and Jamie always find fun places for dinner when I visit. Tonight we went to a ramen restaurant (yes, I said ramen!) this doesn't look much like the ramen noodles I usually make...

Missing Daddy

Tim bravely went back to work today. Since I'm not going back until January, that left Sebastian and me with some quality snuggle time. And Sebastian can snuggle up comfortably just about anywhere!

#HopeforHenry

We had an AMAZING turnout at Henry's celebration of life fundraiser today. I wish I could have personally thanked every person that was there, was thinking of us, donated an item, flipped a pancake...so many people did so many things to make today happen. Henry was one special little dude and today we had the chance to celebrate that. 

Cuddly friend

Sebastian cuddled up with his penguin friend tonight while waiting for his daddy to come home <3

Wow!

We had a basket-making/organizing "party" tonight. I continue to be absolutely overwhelmed with the donations of money, items, and TIME. Henry's legacy of smiles and love will continue to live on in the hearts of so many people, and that is the best thing this mama could wish for!

Not ready to get up...

Sebastian thought about getting up this morning, and then snuggled right back up with mom. What a perfect dog...he'll sleep in as long as we're still in bed!!

A little getaway

Thanks to my dad, we got a short getaway to Kansas City this week. It was nice to have a change of scenery and do something different for a couple days! We also appreciate Tim's mom and sister who offered to help and stay with the fur-baby so we didn't have to worry about him!! Now we're gearing up for pancake feed weekend!

Cozy puppy

We sure do love our little snuggle bug. He's happy to get as close as he can. He's a comforting presence, especially now.

Henry's "friends"

I don't spend much time in Henry's room but yesterday I finished up some of his laundry. We've put some of his monsters and special blankets in his crib, so this was what greeted me as I walked into his room. We sure do miss our little monster, and are glad he has some friends to watch over his room. :)

Proud puppy

Yesterday Sebastian visited the pet spa, and came back looking quite dapper. As a treat, he got to take a car ride to the pet store, and he felt quite proud sitting on mama's lap.

Fur therapy

Sebastian is our very own therapy dog. He stuck with me through bed rest, put up with the strange non-furry puppy, and hasn't left our side since we've been home. He may be a dog, but he's a loved member of our family!

Spoiled rotten

Our dog is most definitely spoiled rotten. Today we went to the store to get lunch, and brought home a rawhide treat. Then he got some bites of turkey, along with a special dog bakery treat. By the end of the day, Sebastian was fat and sassy (and pooped!)

Happy puppy

Sebastian is definitely happy to be back home with mom and dad. He can sense that something isn't quite right, and takes every opportunity to snuggle up with one or both of us. We are so glad we have a fur buddy to love.

Support

The support we have received since Henry's diagnosis has been amazing! Yesterday I got a message from one of the teachers at school: "The 6th graders have your back!! #HopeforHenry

We hope Henry's having a good day!" along with this picture. 

Progress

It may be two steps forward, one step back, but we are making progress! There's still a lot of fluid to go, but Henry is finally starting to look more like Henry again. Love this little guy...so proud of his fighting spirit!

A little unicorn

One of Henry's lines went bad today, so they had to start a new one. Unfortunately, the only spot that they could get one started was on his head, so know he looks like a unicorn. He's the cutest unicorn I know!

Bear Hugger

Henry's temperature has been a little low this afternoon, so he's under a "bear hugger" to keep him warm. Although it could be a sign of infection, a low temperature could also be due to being often uncovered and the room temperature. I kind of wish they made a bear hugger in my size...

Progress

Henry got his first round of dialysis today. He's still got a long way to go, but he was able to start getting rid of the extra fluid that has been clogging his body. He's a fighter!

Something missing...

I went home to shower today, and the house was too quiet. No puppy, no baby... It's times like this when reality sets in. I sat in Henry's room, and hoped for the day when I can hold my baby, change his diaper, rock him to sleep, and lay him down in his crib. I have faith that the day will come...but it's all the days in between that are so scary. (Sorry for the gloomy post!)

The fur baby

Sebastian has been wondering what's up and why no one is home to play with him! Thankfully Uncle Will and Aunt Catherine stepped up and took him to their house for the time being. He has two friends to play with, and is seen here "patiently" waiting to partake in treat time. He hasn't quite figured out the doggy door yet, and may have made a mess or two today. But he'll get settled and probably have so much fun he won't want to come home! ;-)

Poor little man

Henry's still hanging in there. And so are Mom and Dad! Still hoping Henry will feel better soon...it's so hard to see him sick, and not be able to do anything for him except snuggle.

Still sick again...

Henry's still sick/sick again...it's hard to tell at this point! He slept a lot today, so hopefully that'll help him fight this off!

This was the mooch face watching me as I ate my ice cream tonight...he does love ice cream!

It's rough being a baby...

This was Henry at the end of all the wedding festivities last weekend. He amazed everyone with how well he did!

Fur baby

We can't forget that our fur baby loves snuggling too...even if it's into a blanket. Love him!

Poor puppy...

Sebastian's had a rough weekend, with all the people in and out, and some extra time on his own. This was his face last night when Henry and I got home...and tonight he's planted himself on my lap. I love that both of my boys like to snuggle :)

Ring Bearer

Henry was the ring bearer in his Uncle Will and now Aunt Catherine's wedding today. He stole the show, and then slept through the ceremony! He didn't make it through the whole reception, but he sure did his best. Thanks to Grandma Fern for the adorable outfit and the ring pillow (made from scratch with no pattern.)

Happy Halloween!!

Henry didn't get to trick-or-treat on his first Halloween, but he did get to visit both Grandma and Grandpa at work, and he was a hit! He's our favorite monster, that's for sure.

Getting bigger

Henry sat in his first restaurant high chair tonight...he's growing up!! (Luckily he still has some growing up to do too.) :)

Slacking again...

Henry played peek-a-boo all on his own today, and thoroughly enjoyed himself...silly boy!

Morning baby

I'm not entirely convinced this is my child...he wakes up smiling every morning (and usually with stories to tell.) His smiling face does help me with my mornings.

Henry was ready to eat tonight...but wasn't very successful at getting any milk this way...

Daycare Fun!

Carrie sent us this picture today...our little artist at work painting his pumpkin. I can't say enough how happy I am that Henry has someplace so wonderful to go while we're at work!
